Choosing a size for a protruding tummy
For women: to choose the right size for bottom garments, use the hip measurement plus the tummy protrusion
To sew this dress, choose woven fabrics with the following properties:
- medium or heavy weight, low drape, non-stretch or with very little stretch
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, silk, cotton, linen), artificial (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc) and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)
- the following fabrics are recommended: sateen, poplin, linen, broderie, jacquard, light or medium weight denim.
For the lining, the following fabrics are recommended: cotton shirting, sateen, poplin, linen, batiste.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit materials. The fabric should have little drape and hold its shape.
