Fabric check list:
- Not transparent
- Weight of roughly 150-280 GSM
- Natural fibres to allow the body to breathe
- Consider how the fabric will hang from pleats, will it be voluminous or drapey
- Considered patterned fabrics carefully
Suitable fabrics:

Please note: if your fabric is extremely slippery you may want to use a stabliser such as starch spray to help you sew the pleats. Stabilisers need to be washed out so it’s best to do a wash test on a small piece first.
