Loriana is a lined dress with an accentuated waist. It has a corset-style, close-fitting bodice with princess seams. The dress features a shaped waist seam and a full gathered skirt.

The semi-fitted, set-in sleeves are long, pleated at the top, and flared toward the bottom. The bottom of the sleeve is gathered and finished with bias binding. The dress has a deep square neckline and closes with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. Loriana is above-knee length.

Model: Height 173 cm (5’8”), Bust 82 cm (32 1/4”), Waist 63 cm (24 3/4”), Hips 92 cm (36 1/4”). Model is wearing size EU36 in height 172–179 cm (size US4 in height 5’8”–5’10”).

To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics:

- heavyweight, structured, without stretch

- the fiber content can include natural fibers, artificial fibers, blends, and synthetics.

 

Recommended fabrics:

- for the bodice: gabardine, sateen, satin

- for the skirt: shirting, poplin.

  

The dress in the photos is made of two types of fabric: satin for the bodice and poplin for the skirt and lining. The fabric is heavyweight, structured, without stretch.

The fiber content is a blend of cotton and polyester.

5. Lightweight interfacing – 3 cm (1 1/8").

6. One invisible zipper, 60 cm (23 5/8") long, for all sizes and heights.

7. Stitched straight-grain fusible stay tape, 1 cm (3/8") wide – 4 m (4 3/8 yd).

8. Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape, 1 cm (3/8") wide – 3 m (3 1/4 yd).

9. Matching thread – 5 spools.
