Dita is a close-fitting dress with an accentuated waist. There are princess seams at the front and back of the dress. The front also features a double placket with a slit at the top that mimics a lingerie-inspired, metallic hook-and-eye closure. The dress closes with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. The top and bottom edges of the dress feature ruffles. At the bottom edge of the front and back of the dress, there are decorative straps attached to strap holders with metallic buckle rings. Dita is lined and above-knee length.

To sew this dress, choose dress-weight and suiting fabrics:
- medium- to heavyweight, structured, opaque, with very little stretch
- the fiber content can include natural fibers, artificial fibers, blends, and synthetics.
Recommended fabrics: stretch suiting, stretch cotton, stretch denim.
The garment in the photos is made of stretch cotton suiting. The fabric is medium-weight, with very little stretch. The fiber content is a blend of cotton (98%) and elastane (2%).
The lining is a blend of viscose and polyester.
Chiffon was used as an additional fabric.
