Avril is a close-fitting, straight-cut skirt. The partial center front seam is gathered with elastic to create a draped effect. The skirt is ankle-length.

To sew this skirt, choose knit fabrics:
- soft, medium-weight, with good stretch
- the fabric should include elastane, spandex, or lycra. The fiber content can also include natural fibers, artificial fibers, blends, and synthetics.
Recommended fabrics: sweater knit, rib knit, viscose knit.
The skirt in the photos is made of a knit fabric. The material is medium-weight, soft, and has good stretch.
The fiber content is 95% viscose and 5% spandex.
