Height: this pattern was drafted for a height of 164 - 170 cm or 5'4'' to 5'6''. Please feel free to contact hello@sewingpartner.com to get a helping hand from sewing mentors when adjusting the patterns for your height.
Suggested fabrics include: Hooded jackets are usually made of sweatshirt fleece or French terry, but you could choose also double jersey, such as Ponte Roma, or scuba. Two-way stretch knits are better than four-way. We used faux fur.
The estimates of the amount of fabric needed for the garment are based on 60” wide (150cm)
fabrics.
• Main fabric: 135-165 cm (we sewed S size and we used 140cm);
• Rib-knit sleeve cuffs: 32-35 cm (The sleeve cuffs are ready-made. If you can’t find those
anywhere, get tubular rib knit fabric and make them yourself;
• Lining: 130-160 cm.
• Zipper 65cm.
• Use a ruler, tape measure, and spools of thread to match your fabric. For stretch knit fabric the most common threads used to sew are textured polyester or textured nylon threads. Textured threads are ideal for overedge and cover stitch seams because they offer excellent seam coverage and seam elasticity. You can use this kind of thread to avoid popped seams. Also, you will need scissors or rotary, iron, clips, or pins.
