To sew this jacket, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties:

− medium weight, structured, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque

− the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)

− the following fabrics are recommended: tweed, basket weave fabrics, coating fabrics.

Attention! We do not recommend stretchy fabrics (knits), lightweight soft fabrics (dress-weight wool), heavyweight wool fabrics, thin, soft, fluid, loosely woven fabrics.

For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).

The jacket in the photo is made of tweed. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, medium stretch. The fiber content is 90% wool + 10% nylon. The fabric weight is 250 g/m2.

The interfacing weight is 30 g/m2.

The lining is 45% viscose and 55% polyester. The weight of the lining fabric is 100 g/m2.
