We recommend a cotton fabric such as a poplin with volume fleece or a pre-quilted fabric.
For example, we use an cotton poplin made from 100% cotton and a weight of 130g/m2.
• two different fabrics with a width of 1.40m (1 1/2yd) each:
XS-L: 55cm (3/5 yd), XL-XXXL: 70cm (3/4 yd)
• batting, e.g., Vlieseline H630 with a width of 90cm (1yd): XS-L: 1.50m (12/3yd), XL-XXXL: 2m (2 1/5yd)
• bias binding: XS-L: 3.40m (3 3/4yd), XL-XXXL: 3.80m (4 1/5yd)
• 2mm (1/16in) wide elastic cord: XS-XXXL: 60cm (2/3yd)
• sewing thread
Tip 1: When cutting bias binding from your fabric yourself, you will
need an additional fabric amount of 60cm (2/3yd) for one of your fabrics.
Tip 2: When using a pre-quilted fabric you will need no batting. Skip the quilting steps. The sewing steps will be the same.
