Run is a pair of mid-rise hipster briefs. The top edge is finished with an elastic band. The leg opening edges are finished with a flat seam.

Sizing: this pattern includes sizes EU34 - EU52 (approximately UK 6/ US 2 - UK 24 / US 20). Check the Size chart tab to choose the right size. If you are between the sizes, choose the larger size.

Choosing a size for a protruding tummy
For women: to choose the right size for bottom garments, use the hip measurement plus the tummy protrusion
To sew these hipster briefs, choose soft, stretchy, medium-weight knit fabrics made of natural fibers or blends.
We recommend using jersey.
The stretch factor should be 1.5.
Attention! We recommend using only stretchy fabrics for these briefs.
You can determine the stretch factor of the fabric yourself. Mark 10 cm (4") along the crosswise grain of the fabric, lay a ruler next to the marked section, and stretch the fabric. Divide the measurement you get by 10.
The hipster briefs in the photo are made of combed jersey. The fabric is medium weight, soft, and stretchy. The fiber content is 92% cotton and 8% spandex. The fabric weight is 210 g/m2.
The stretch factor is 1.5.

Important! The exact elastic length is specified on the pattern.
3. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker / 2 spools for the coverstitch machine). Textured thread — 1 spool (for the coverstitch machine looper)
- sewing machine for construction
- overlocker for construction and finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
- coverstitch or coverlock machine for finishing the leg opening edges. If you don’t have a coverstitch machine, it can be replaced with a twin needle on any regular sewing machine that can do a zigzag stitch.
Important! We recommend using specialty needles when working with knit fabrics (for example, STRETCH, SUPER STRETCH, JERSEY, etc.). When sewing, a ball-shaped needle point pushes the knit loops apart without piercing the threads.

1. The pdf pattern in your chosen size, in the following formats: Letter, A4, A0 and plotter format. The size of the plotter format is indicated in the name of the document. You will need a plotter printer that can print at least 900 mm width.
2. Detailed instructions which include cutting layouts, construction steps accompanied by photos, as well as instructions on how to work with Vikisews patterns (printing, taping, adjusting, sewing terminology).
