Niamh is a pair of V-shaped, mid-waisted briefs. All edges of the briefs are finished with a rolled hem seam and trimmed with elastic attached 1.5 cm (5/8") away from the edge.
Approximate sewing time — 0.5 days (4 hours).
Sizing: this pattern includes sizes XS - XL (approximately UK 6/ US 2 / EU 34 - UK 24 / US 20 / EU 52). Check the Size chart tab to choose the right size. If you are between the sizes, choose the larger size.

Choosing a size for a protruding tummy
For women: to choose the right size for bottom garments, use the hip measurement plus the tummy protrusion
To sew these briefs, choose medium-weight, non-stretch or low-stretch fabrics made of natural fibers, artificial fibers, blends, or synthetics.
The following fabrics are recommended: satin, natural or artificial silk.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics.
As an additional material for the gusset, choose medium-weight and medium-stretch knits. We recommend using fabrics made of 100% natural fibers, such as jersey.
The briefs in the photo are made of artificial silk. The fabric is medium weight and has very little stretch. The fiber content is 97% polyester and 3% spandex. The fabric weight is 144 g/m2.
The additional material is 100% cotton. The fabric weight is 120 g/m2.

4. The exact elastic length is specified in the pattern and the leg opening elastic template.
5. Matching thread — 4 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 3 spools for the overlocker)
- sewing machine for construction
- overlocker for construction and finishing raw edges. It can be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
