Cindy is a high-waisted lined dress. The waist seam sits above the natural waistline. The back bodice is shaped with waist darts. Sizes 36, 38, and 40 in heights 146, 152, and 158 also include bust darts. The dress has a round neckline at the front and a V-neckline at the back. The short puffed set-in sleeves are pleated and gathered at the cap and hem. There is an elastic casing at the bottom of the sleeve. The full skirt is pleated and gathered at the waist. The dress closes with an invisible center back zipper. Cindy is above-knee length.

Choosing your size
Use the bust circumference measurement to choose the size for top garments (dress, jacket, coat, etc.)
Use the hip circumference measurement to choose the size for bottom garments (pants, skirts, shorts, etc.)
If your bust measurement is 0.5-1.5cm smaller than the indicated measurement on the pattern (for example 83cm), then choose the bigger size (size 36, which is for bust 84cm); if your measurement is 0.5-1.5cm bigger, then choose the smaller size (for example for bust measurement 85.5cm choose size 36/bust 84cm).
If your bust measurement is +/-2cm different, then it’s recommended to choose the bigger size for close fitting garments and the smaller size for loose fitting garments with lots of ease. You’ll find all the ease information in the general description of the pattern.

To sew this dress, choose blouse- and dress-weight woven fabrics with the following properties:
- thin, smooth, stable, lightweight, structured, non-stretch, semi-sheer or sheer (for the skirt and sleeves)
- heavyweight, structured, low-stretch (for the front and back bodice)
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (silk + polyester, polyester + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester).
The following fabrics are recommended:
- organza, crystal organza – for the skirt and sleeves
- heavyweight satin, such as duchess satin and satin coutil (corsetry satin), velvet – for the front and back bodice.
Attention! We do not recommend very stretchy knit materials (jersey fabrics), or soft, drapey fabrics (chiffon, stretch lace).
For the lining, use lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The garment in the photos is made of duchess satin and organza. The organza is thin, lightweight, structured, non-stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The duchess satin is heavyweight, structured, non-stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester.
